Breakup?

My friend J is thinking about breaking up with her 7 month boyfriend. The reason why is bc her bf’s sister and her friends keep harassing her for being with him. Saying that its her fault for everything going bad in his life. It’s getting out of hand and my friend is a mess rn. Her bf doesn’t defend her or anything. But J knows that if  he does break up with him he’ll be in deep depression. Whenever she brings up breaking up with him he starts crying. She doesn’t want him to become too attached. what should she do?

If she likes him and is happy then she shouldn’t let anyone else get involved but I have been through this my ex boyfriend who I was with used to cut himself whenever we argued or anything and he was really down and depressed . His sister and family didn’t like me at all just for personality clashes no big reason but his sister was a similar age to me and we went the same school so her friends would shout slag at me and everything just nasty petty things to try and get to me and my ex wouldn’t defend me at all because he didn’t want to cross his family and I was too scared to have a go at him for not sticking up for me or split up with him because I was upset all the time because I was afraid he would cut or be really down but in the end it all resulted in him taking his families side and we split because most of the time family will come first and he clearly wasn’t happy either because his family was having a go at him for being with me and I was being basically bullied by his sister and her friends and both of these things upset him but he chose his family which is understandable so just tell her to be careful because She’s trying to protect him but in the end it could be her left hurting if she doesn’t do what’s best for herself💗💗

My dad and my boyfriend/baby daddy don't like each other at all. They get along because of me tho, they don't communicate unless they have to. Many of people have told me I can do better and I should leave my man, but I love him and I dont care who you are, you could be the fucking pope telling me to leave him, and I'll stay bc this man is the only person in my life who's stuck with me through thick and thin. If she loves him, everything will work out in the end.

I think she shouldn’t let other people’s opinions take over her mental. She should be able to know if she wants to be with him or not. Seems to look like he really loves her and doesn’t want her to break up with him. Maybe she should tell him everything that’s going on, as well as evaluating the situation for herself and ask herself does she really believe she’s causing him more drama if not I think she should stay with him. I had this happen to me once I was made fun of for dating this boy in high school. I was very close to breaking up with him so people would leave me alone... but I listened to my heart and we lasted 5 years

Sounds like he’s stuck between conflict with his family and his girlfriend. Tbh my boyfriend of 10 years family isn’t always nice to me they have their opinions of me (nothing serious) just little remarks and side opinions but in the end we’re all there for each other. I would try to tell your friend before leaving him or breaking up with him (unless she’s really really upset and can’t handle this and tried everything) maybe try talking to the sister and hanging out with her like a one on one. Effort is key.
