MC @ 8w5d still spotting

Jus trying to get some insight on my first MC with no previous pregnancies. On Feb 2nd my DH and I got our BFP that we’ve been waiting over a year for... on Feb 7th I started spotting. Went to the OB on Feb 12 and they confirmed a miscarriage. Baby should have been measuring 8w5d, measured at 7w1d, and the sac was only measuring 5w5d. Fast forward to today exactly 7 weeks after first spotting... and I’m experiencing more brown spotting like I did leading up to the full blown MC. Is this normal? I stopped spotting completely 1 full week 2 weeks ago and it came back and is now getting heavier. Is this what I should expect leading up to my next AF?
