Should I care that my boyfriend still has his ex wife as his life insurance beneficiary?

We’ve only been together for three months so I don’t think it should be me, but he’s been divorced for over three years. Shouldn’t he have his kids or someone else as the beneficiary?

3 Months it is none of your business. If she helped pay for it and is the mother of his children she should. If and when you are married he can choose to get another for you as the beneficiary. Don't scare him away yet. lol

Your relationship is brand new. In my opinion at this point in you’re relationship it’s not your business (not to sound rude!) I wouldn’t mention that until you’ve been committed to each other long term and it’s interfering with your relationship in some way.

I mean if he didn’t have a new family then why not. If something was to happen his wife would need to support his children if they’re underage. Or he’s just been too lazy to change it which wouldn’t surprise me

I voted wrong, I meant no. When children are involved, in most cases, if the ex husband/ ex wife is fit to take care of the children, they should be the one in charge. Regardless of what a great person you might be, three months is not long enough to trust someone with your children!

As part of our divorce decree, my ex and I still have each other as beneficiaries. If something happened to him, I’d have the money to raise our children (we have 3) and vise versa. Once our children are 18, I will change mine. 
You have no idea why he has things set up the way he does and at 3 months, it’s not your business. Stay out of it.

you just started dateing I could see if you guys were together for maybe three years been seems like you're kinda being a gold digger their is probably a reason why she is still on their maybe he wants to make sure not only her but the kids are set maybe it's not a good idea for kids to decide how the money is spent maybe they both agreed they want the kids to goto school or something that's really none of you're business

I didn’t speak on my husbands financial affairs until we were engaged. He tried that once earlier on. It didn’t go well for him. His beneficiary is none of your business.
