Do you let baby sleep with blankets/toys in the crib?

My son is still colicky and I'm in and out of his room CONSTANTLY from like 8-midnight and I've tried everything, but I'm not asking for suggestions or anything- he seems to sleep better with a certain blanket wrapped around him. But every time I lay him down in it I panic and go and take it out then it wakes him up. I know a lot of people don't follow the no loose blanket rule but it makes me nervous. But I also need sleep and so does he. Do you have loose blankets in the crib?

So I gave in and kept it on him last night and he seriously slept SO well I even watched him wake up and self soothe which he has never done! I kept it below his waist and it never moved up at all

My daughter will not sleep without Honey Bunny. Scared me to death at first especially because she ALWAYS covers her face. She won’t sleep without it. She’s slept with bunny and a blanket since she was about 3 months. Most nights she kicks off the blanket but she has bunny over her face. 
When she sleeps, I sleep and all is right with the world. Do what works for you and your LO!!

Nope. Scared of SIDS. If it’s recommended baby not sleep with a blanket without supervision, I’m not letting my son sleep with a blanket. Period. Everyone else can do what they want. Your baby, your choice.

I mean...I KNOW you said your not looking for suggestions or anything but I just want to clarify that colic is not a diagnosis but a symptom. Do you know what is causing the colic? This is a common misconception that is predated to our parents age. But since we have learned that babies who have colic are actually crying for a reason. It can just be hard to pinpoint what is bothering them. For us it was cows milk.

You should get the video camera baby monitor my son can’t fall asleep without his blanket but I get nervous I got a video baby monitor all my troubles went away I can see him and I can see his chest moving

Rest it on him.  He's strong enough at this age to move it off him if it's covering his face.

If I'm not in the room then I put the camera on him, that eases my kind a lot. I do put blankets on him, I just usually put a long sleeve on him and tuck the blanket under him/his arms and sometimes tuck the part closest to his feet under his feet enough that if he tugged at it, it doesn't come up too much. It's a tricky thing because I'm always checking on him.
