Anybody else HATE the Graco 4ever car seat?

Overall, I am not impressed with this car seat, especially for the price! My daughter is very petite and the shoulder straps don’t seem to come in close enough to her neck. Also, it is almost impossible to tighten the straps! Anybody else having similar issues?

Tighten the straps from the back if you are still rearfacing. Just pull the slack out of the straps from the back, then pull the adjuster strap in the front to remove the slack. Super easy this way. Apparently they are just stiffer when new and should loosen over time.

The straps are SO stiff! It can really be a struggle to tighten them sometimes, and adjusting the chest clip is so difficult. It really makes you work. Especially if the car is cold inside, I find that they are even tougher to move! I think that’s a good thing though, the straps are very durable! It can be a bitch but I feel good knowing that the straps are tight and secure, versus having straps that move so easily and are flimsy.

I find the straps so hard to tighten. I found that pulling the slack out from after snapping the leg part then I clip the chest piece then I pull the straps from the back to tighten then pull the strip at the front and it works better. Seems ridiculous that I have to do this, but there’s been no other way to get it tight enough.

I have 2 of them and love them! We didn’t switch to it until close to a year but my daughter is in the 7th percentile and we have zero issue with the straps.

I don't have experience with the 4Ever, but we have the Extend2Fit and absolutely love it. I've never had issues with tightening or loosening the straps on it (it looks like it's set up the same way the 4Ever is). It's a million times easier than the infant seat our daughter had. We moved her into the Extend2Fit at 4 months (she's no9w 10 months) because she outgrew the infant seat and she's always fit perfectly in it :) but she's also in the 99th percentile for height lol

I agree. The straps are super hard to get tight.  I have just gotten used to it now, but we have the chicco infant seat which we loved. After first using the 4ever I was not impressed.

Yes. My husband bought it on Amazon based off of price 🙄. I wanted a Britax because my sister really liked it. I too find it next to impossible to have it properly tightened.
