So, since I see a ton of posts of young (and older) women having unprotected sex, and then waiting months after a missed period to take a test, I thought I’d write something helpful.

For starters, even if you have sexual relations on a “safe day” you can still get pregnant. Yes, that includes sex during your period.

You CAN get pregnant from precum, the chances are just way less than if he actually came.

YES, even if he didn’t come in you, you can get pregnant.

No, peeing after sex does NOT mean you won’t get pregnant. It just reduces your chances of getting a UTI.

If you have unprotected sex, and miss a period, GO TAKE A TEST. You need to know if you’re pregnant so you know what your next step is. Prenatal care is of upmost importance, SPECIALLY during your first trimester, so please test.

If you aren’t in a relationship with someone trustworthy and got pregnant, go to the doctor asap so you can get lab tests done to make sure you’re STD-free.

If anyone else has anything else to add, be my guest.
