Is this shady of my BF?

My bf said he got rid of Facebook because of light news lately that facebook got breached. 
However when I search for his name, it looked like he didn’t actually delete it but his profile comes up as blank. Like there’s no info or friends no photo. Just his name and you can add him as friend but you wouldn’t know who he is or what he looks like based on his profile. 
 
If someone deleted their Facebook, they wouldn’t show at all right? Am I overthinking? I think it’s just weird...I don’t want to ask and seem like I’m creepin on him and checking everything he does online lol

It takes a couple days or weeks to actually deactivate , as long as he doesn’t log in within a certain amount of days it should completely be gone I believe .

I think there is a difference between deleting and deactivating... one shows nothing and one shows the stock pic etc... so maybe he just deactivated and didn’t cancel? I guess it goes back to if you trust him or not?

It might just be lagging because I deactivated my Facebook and somehow people can still see my name or even try to add me. But none of my profile info or picture shows up.

It can take awhile for FB to deactivate it and also when deleting the account

It takes the facebook team up to 180 days in some cases longer some shorter to completely erase everything they go through and delete every comment you made everything you liked shared saved its not that simple to just get rid of it now just deactivating your account only puts a temp pause on some people like to take a break from social media every now and then you can log in with your info and bring your profile back up i have seceral people on mine that do that they stay on for a while then they get off for a while so on so forth

Deleting it only deactivated for like the first 30 days. Because most people change their mind and want to activate again. That’s just how it looks.

You can either deactivate or completely delete. Deactivating will still keep the profile up in case you change your mind and start it up again. Deleting will get rid of it completely. He probably just deactivated it
