Would it harm my baby?

My baby was 6 months when he got his first round of the flu shot. Doctor told us to come back after a month to get the second dose. However, the doc didn’t have the shot in stock when he was supposed to get it. It’s now been two months since his shot and still needs the second round. Would it still be safe to go without the second round ? Is it safe to get it after 8 weeks?

Get it. Flu season was officially extended this year. 
I have seen too many babies die of the flu. The vaccine is essentially harmless. The virus is potentially deadly.

we've denied the flu shot for my daughter all together, I'm not anti vac but I think the flu shot is unnecessary and does more harm than good, she hasn't gotten sick or the flu, even tho me and her dad have been passing back and forth the flu, stomach flu, amd strep throat.

My babe got the flu shot his year & he still got the flu. 🤷🏽‍♀️ if I would’ve done my research & known the shot was only 10% effective I wouldn’t have gotten the shot for him

I'd get it. It's not nearly as effective if she only has half the dose.

I would get it. The reason they need two rounds is because they typically only give half doses to babies this young, so they get two instead of one. The flu is bad this year.

I actually only got round 1 for my son. I decided against the second round. Not anti vac but don’t really believe in the flu shot. I still wanted to get one dose for him. This is my opinion and what I’ve decided to do with my son. He hasn’t been sick in anyway and is doing great. ..

We never get the flu shot. It doesn’t protect against every strain of the flu, and I’ve read somewhere that it lowers your immune system after you get it, so you can potentially catch something else while you’re trying to protect yourself against one strain. 🤷🏻‍♀️
