yeast infection and on period

This is the first time ive had a yeast infection. Im on day 2 of monistat 7, and yes i use the monistat only at bedtime. But im also on my period. I looked up online about using tampons while having a yeast infection and its no no. But i have to use tampons. My periods are al heavy i have to use ultra tampons and pads at the same time. I work everyday so i cant go to work without a tampon in. But when i come home i just wear pads if i can. Is wearing a tampon for about 7 hours a day goin to mess up everything? I dont want to go through this whole process of using medicine and trying get better if tampons are goin to hinder it.
