Horrible Doctor Experience

*LONG POST*

So today, I went to my very first appointment to finally see how far along I was. Obviously, I’m very excited, and have been waiting all week for this day. I couldn’t wait to see my little nugget on screen.

Anyways, according to my LMP, I should be a little over 8w. The day I was supposed to get my period, I had slight spotting, and that was it. I thought nothing of it, but now realize it may have been implantation bleeding.

Anyways, back to the story.

I’ve been pregnant two times before and have been to doctor’s appointments before. Every previous appt I’ve had, I had to pee in a cup, do blood-work, etc. Basically, the entire work up.

This appt, however, took me only 5 mins, and that’s not including the time I had to wait for the doctor to see me. No, all they did was take my blood pressure and weight. Then, told me to go sit in the room and wait for the doctor.

I swear on my life, I was going to fight this man. Not only did he spend less than 30 seconds looking at my uterus, he simply saw something on the screen, claimed I was only about 4-5 weeks along, and said he was prescribing me folic acid. Not once did he ask about symptoms or anything.

When I informed him that I needed meds for BV, he acted as if I had no idea what I was talking about. He prescribed me metrogel, and seemed dismissive of any of my questions.

Then when I asked him to give me medication for yeast infection as well, this motherfucker (i’m so pissed, i had to curse) told me that I do not need it because I can’t have both BV and yeast at the same time. Then, when I tried explaining that I get a yeast infection 100% of the times I take metrogel, he cuts me off and says “make an appt for next week and we’ll see then if you need it”.

I AM NOT WAITING DAYS WITH AN ITCHY VAGINA BECAUSE AN UNEDUCATED, UNINTERESTED, NEEDS TO GET HIS PRACTICING LICENSE REVOKED, POS “DOCTOR” TELLS ME THAT I DON’T KNOW MY OWN BODY. SMH.

I just needed to vent. The wait for another doctor is 3 weeks from now, but I chose that option rather than going next week with this bs.
