Should I tell my mum I’m not a virgin?

Question

Yesterday me and this boy lost our virginities to each other. I really like him, and I don’t regret a thing... but we’re not in a relationship.. and he’s a couple years older than me.
We used protection, ofc, but I can’t help but feel my mum’s gonna be really disappointed in me.. I feel obligated to tell her although I know she’ll be mad, and she won’t allow me to see him again. 
It’s a massive Romeo and Juliet situation, and if I’m honest it’s really bothering me. What do y’all think?? Thanks xxx

It’s not really something you tell your mother... I never told my mom when I lost my virginity, and if I had a daughter, I wouldn’t expect her to tell me.
Unless you didn’t use protection and you are worried about something, I don’t think you need to tell her.
Or if he is older than 18 and you are younger than 16, then that is not okay.
Side note, it is not a Romeo and Juliet situation unless your families are at war and you are willing to kill yourself for him and deny your family... haha
Sorry, went to university for English and the whole “we are like Romeo and Juliet” thing has completely lost its meaning.
Anyways. It’s not like “I’m not a virgin anymore” is written on your face and your mom can tell.
Unless you are underage or are worried about something, there is no need to tell your mom. :)

I still haven’t told my mom I simply think it’s my business if I have sex or not who i have ur with. I never discuss my sex llife with anyone other than my bf ofc. I felt kinda weird too when I lost it but it’s just gets away with time. But if u know ur mom might get mad not do it u know ur mom more than anyone if she’s cool go ahead

If it was me, I would be honest with her if she asked. I know that if I was a mother, I would just want the best for my kid, and for them to be honest with me. But if she doesn't ask, then I wouldn't tell her. But that's just my opinion 🙂 good luck gorgeous

I’m 35. I think my parents found out I wasn’t a virgin when they learned I was pregnant with my first, at age 28, 2 years after I got married.

If your an adult its not really any of her business. If your underage, then you shouldn’t be having sex in the first place, protected or unprotected. I personally wouldn’t tell anyone unless I got HIV or pregnant.

I’m 23 and I’ve had sex with a few people and I’ve never announced to my mom that I wasn’t a virgin. I think she just figured it out. If you’re being safe, there’s really no reason to mention it to her if you don’t want to 🤷🏻‍♀️

tell her if you want to but you dont have or need to tell her its your life so do what you want and what makes you happy if telling her makes up happy  then do it i was never close with my mom and i kept everything to myself  (she doesnt know how to keep her mouth  shut she always tells her friends  and family my business) but to me sex life should say between you and the guy i dont even talk to my friends about my sex life if i do its very little hehe

I don’t think you have to tbh I’ve never told my mom and I think at this point she just assumes I’m not a virgin anymore but some parents will flip out so I’d always say no to tell them lol... luckily my mom doesn’t care
