I have a friend who has asked me for help, he wants a baby and doesn't have a partner. He's gay and wants me to be the mother of his child. He says he'd want to coparent with me and my husband, who has already been included in the situation. I have always wanted to help someone else have a baby but due to my past and my weight I can't be a surrogate through an agency... I am just curious if anyone else would do this for a friend?

Problem is, your friend cannot be a single father right now... co-parenting is very dodgy ground to be on meaning you take responsibility for the child too. Surrogates do not usually want this - if you do, that's your choice and only one you and hubby can make. The law is due to be passed that single mothers/father's will be able to apply for a parental order in the future but right now they can't... or they go through the costly and very lengthy process of adoption.

I am ttc right now for a friend! He has always wanted children of his own, but his wife had to have a hysterectomy, so can no longer have children. We are using the soft cup method and starting this week! Good luck to you!
