Cats using baby stuff?

I dunno maybe it's none of my business, and I'm not one to tell someone how they should do things. There's this person I'm friends with on Facebook and they're expecting a baby. They constantly upload photos of their cat sleeping in the baby's crib, sitting in bouncing chairs, etc. every time I see the pictures I'm just sit there and think to myself "do you realize what you're doing?" I don't know, not all cats are like that, but I definitely know that if I were to let my cats do that, it would no longer be for the baby. And I'd be worried about my cat peeing all over the baby stuff? Do what you want I guess but I personally wouldn't.

Im sort of a cat lady so I'll tell you that cats go everywhere you dont want them to be. The moment you get something new, theyre on it or in it. Like you bring a suitcase out from the closet to pack, theyre inside. You get a box from amazon, its a new hidout. So we just laugh and take pictures at the weird spots, because sometimes its cute. My cats have never peed anywhere then their box, so I dont think its a common problem lol

Our lab squeezed her fat ass into the portable baby bassinet because she wanted it. If you’re cats are peeing all over household items that’s an issue

If you don't treat your pets like part of the family why have pets? Our cats all up on all of our stuff except counters and tables. Its not like hes dirty (hes inside only and anal about his paws) or peeing on stuff because he's litter trained.  Plus its not like he won't be around baby from basically day 1. Yeah ill wipe everything down again before we bring baby home, but my cat is a part of this family, not a toy I picked up that can be put away and forgotten.

When I first brought my bassinet into my bedroom my cat thought it was for him and I’d catch him sleeping in it and Everytime he’d jump in it I’d yell at him. For me it’s not okay it is a habit that I’m working on breaking so far hes stayed out. But cats are known for suffocating babies atleast from what I’ve heard it’s a big NO for me

I wouldn’t allow it, from personal experiences when I caught my cat resting in the car seat only to find he’d peed in it a few hours later. 
Yes, I washed the covers and disinfected the plastic. And no I didn’t tell him off, I was just extra careful in the future.  
I let my cats sleep wherever they want, but wouldn’t allow it in baby furniture, because they mark their scent on things that have a new scent, like baby smells.  
I thought it was cute and I did take a photo, but soon realised he was just being a little monkey. I learnt from my mistake, of course when I found him having a nap I was unaware of what he was planning on doing. I wouldn’t advise it to allow them to use baby things, but let other people make the mistake and they’ll soon realise. Because getting a car seat cover dry without a tumble dryer is a mission.

I’m not concerned about my cat “dirtying it up” and my cat is allowed on the rest of my furniture and usually sleeps on bed with me  every night lol I’m just worried about the suffocation thing I don’t want him to get into habit of sleeping in there so he don’t try to sleep with baby or go in there while I’m sleeping
