Insurance help

michelle

My husband and I both have no insurance. He works in the plants so he’s always changing companies and contractors so we’ve never had health insurance. But we have never needed it either luckily. I tried applying for insurance but apparently pregnancy does not allow you to qualify you for special enrollment which I think is a LOAD OF BULLCRAP. it puts expectant mothers in a bind. Medicaid only lets you have an income of $2,716. That immediately disqualifies me. I really feel like up I’m up a creek without a paddle bc paying 10+ grand for a pregnancy and birth is unreasonable. I could have complications have have to pay for a C section which is 20 grand.

It’s just such a load of poo I can’t qualify for special enrollment.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is anyone in the same position?
