I figured it would be the worst pain I have ever felt....and I was right.

I thought I could handle labor because my periods are excruciating, I dealt with internal bleeding in 2011 (blew a hole in my right ovary) that shit was by far the worst pain, I lost so much blood it almost killed me. Kidney stones.. which are no joke. I was like I've got this. Yea... no. Labor was the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life. I had no idea it would be that intense. I was on Pitocin for a night, they stopped that because I hadn't progressed at all. Gave me a cervical softening pill and 4 hours later she broke my water. That's when the contractions started hitting me really hard and back to back. I labored like that for 4 hours, tried everything and nothing helped. Finally caved and got the epidural at 5 cm. An hour and a half later I was 10 cm and ready to push. They stopped the epi early enough that I got to feel all the pushing and crowning and tearing, but I also got to pull my baby out on the last push and that was incredible. She'll be 3 weeks old tomorrow and I can tell you I know it hurt, but I'd do it all again.

The pain was something I never could’ve imagined. Actual delivery was easier than I had hoped both times. 
My labors are usually very short, but very intense (I need pitocin to progress). Honestly though, it’s true that you forget the pain pretty quickly. Otherwise, we’d all have a single child 😂
