Furnishing Apt on a Budget

Any tips on how to furnish a small apartment on a tight budget? I’ve been looking on Facebook Marketplace, potential yard sales, thinking about checking out thrift shops and even Goodwill. I do live in N. America, perhaps some of you know how to get good deals on furniture? Hoping to find a sectional couch and a king size bed frame at the least :)
