Gender blood test??

Has anyone had the gender blood test?? I’ve heard it’s new and can be done earlier than the ultrasound and is supposed to be pretty accurate. Just wondering how soon it can be done. Haven’t talked to my OB about it yet

I did sneakpeek. $79 dollars. It was accurate. I have a little boy in here...confirmed with ultrasound.

We had the Progenity Innatal NIPT blood test done through our doctors office since my doctor told me it’s more accurate than traditional genetic screenings in terms of ruling out chromosomal abnormalities  AND more accurate than ultrasound in determining baby’s sex (she also told us she was fairly certain our insurance would cover it—though I know many don’t unless there’s a real reason for it). You can get NIPT testing done as early as 10 weeks. We got it done closer to 12 weeks and had our results within 12 days. The results ruled out all genetic abnormalities that it tested for (giving us some peace of mind), and told us we’re having a baby girl (which was confirmed at our anatomy scan!)

Yes, I had it to check for chromosome abnormalities. Typically the earliest you can do it is 11 weeks, and up to 14 weeks. They will ask if you want to find out the gender beforehand:) It’s like 97% accurate for gender since they actually test the baby’s chromosomes. Mine came back girl(which is what I wanted😊) And it was confirmed at the anatomy scan that she is, in fact, a girl!!

I had mine draw at 9 weeks it test for abnormalities also. Not all insurances cover it and not all drs office offer it... if my insurance didn’t cover it , it would have cost 2,000$ ... you use to be done on women over 35 but more drs offices are starting to use it instead of the 12/13 week ultrasound.
