Maternity leave advice...

So I’m a Nurse Practitioner & make decent money.. our first baby is due in September & I’m wanting to take my full 12 weeks off afterward. My husband doesn’t think that’s necessary & thinks that’s too much time off. It’s kind of hurtful to me bc I work hard & feel I deserve that time off. He isn’t not going to let me or anything he just doesn’t get it. Anyone else been in this situation or how much maternity leave did you take or feel you needed? I’ve heard most say they wish they had more than 12 weeks.. some have said they were ready to go back before, but not many...
