Diabetic and high risk?

Hello! I need some advice. I am a type one diabetic and recently learned I am pregnant. The OB didn’t want to do a blood test to confirm and they don’t want to see me until 9 weeks. But in my flurry of emotions I forgot to tell them I am a diabetic. When do you normally go in for your first appointment if you are high risk? 9 weeks seems so far away!

I am a type 2 diabetic and had my first doctor appointment and ultrasound at 5w6d. I would definitely call them back and let them know. If your ob isn't a high risk ob more than likely they can recommend a great high risk doctor! Congrats momma!!

I’m type 1. Saw the Ob at 10 weeks

I’m type 1 as well. My GYN says I don’t need to come there any sooner (there will be more extra visits later in pregnancy)  but my Endocrinologist wanted to see me as soon as I found out I was pregnant and wanted more frequent visits throughout.

type 2 I saw mine @ 5 weeks and 4 days. maybe just call to let them know your concerns.

that's what I thought I had discovered I was pregnant in march and they didn't want to see me till may even after I told them I was diabetic

i am also a type 1 diabetic..on pump and CGM..my doctor too told me even then, they want to wait to see you till about 6 -8 weeks..so we are going next week.. putting me at 6 weeks .im anxious as well..but praying that all will worked according to Gods plan..doing my best to keep the sugars as "normal" as possible..and just focus on being healthy..that may help with your anxiety too..Good luck and God Bless to all moms!
