IUD help?

Hey ladies! Has anyone ever had an IUD? I’m getting one soon and I’m wondering what to expect in terms of pain, changes in mood, and bleeding.

I loved mine!!! I had the 10year Paragard Copper IUD. I had it taken out at the 10 year mark and got pregnant the next month. I plan to get one after the baby is born! When I got mine it didn't really hurt it was just a little pinch feeling. And since mine was nohormonal it didn't effect anything like my period or pms. And the removal didn't hurt either. And she found my strings pretty easy.

I loved mine! I had it prior to getting pregnant and got pregnant right away after removal. It did hurt, to me, getting put in but it wasn’t TOO bad. Take some ibuprofen before. I had awful periods and cramps prior and it completely stopped both. Which i loved lol the only complaint was my husband could feel the strings. The when going for removal she had to dig around to find them. I plan on getting it back one baby is born. Just remember, everyone reacts to BC differently. It’s honestly just a trial and error. Eek I always comment on these because I loooooooved my IUD! I had it for 4 years and it is going right back in after this baby!
Not really painful. A little pinch and some soreness for a day or two after. I would get a little moody around the time of my period, but nothing like the PMS I had without it, and after a few months I would occasionally spot but no real period bleeding!!
The only thing I will mention is that string is known to carry bacteria up where you don’t want it so be extra clean! I never really had problems, but I didn’t want any so I used antibacterial soap outwardly and I think it helped 😉

I had one for 4 years! I had the one that goes for 5 years. it was amazing!! I had cramps every time my period was coming but no bleeding just slightly bleeding that was my favorite part lol I took it off and was able to get pregnant  immediately. so yeah I loved it. we're all different though!
