Should I let my mother in law in OR for csection?
To give you some background. My in laws live in Florida, they are coming up for the birth of my son. I’m having a repeat csection, with my first I didn’t realize that my husband would leave me with the newborn and I would be in the OR alone after the baby is out. I have EXTREME anxiety I should add. My mother in law calms me so I’d like to have her in the room. However, my mom is a very anxious person, she’s having memory problems right now, we haven’t always had the best relationship. She will be super offended that I didn’t ask her. But she may have beginning stages of dementia so this isn’t someone that can be inside an OR. I don’t want to hurt her feelings but I would like the comfort of someone by me during the surgery. What do you think I should do?
