If a diaper pack is in opened but un used can I return it?

I do not have a proof of purchase for it cause it was a gift at my baby shower. Idk what store they got it from but a family member told me if I take it to Walmart I could just exchange it for a different size if it’s not opened. Is this true?
I was wondering cause I didn’t mean to open it when I was packing my hospital bag but I grabbed the wrong fucking pack 😑 I have not used any of the diapers and I have put them back in the package,but the package is still clearly opened. 
No rude comments or smart ass comments plz I’m just looking for a little help that’s all

I don’t think they’ll take it back if it’s opened without a receipt. I think no receipt and unopened OR with a receipt but opened are the only ways they’ll exchange it 🤔

My Walmart stopped taking returns without receipts 😩 They said they changed their policy in November. They don’t even give a store credit without a receipt now.

You can probably return it to target with your id. They’re not too strict. I would just say you got it from your shower an accidentally got opened. They should be willing to even exchange it

You could try. Sometimes they'll take it back. Just say your kid had a bad reaction and it was a gift.
