Missed miscarriage 8 weeks.. What to do? Second time now..

Question

My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks (no sac, no yolk, no baby)
Here I am at 8 weeks on my second pregnancy. I went to my 8 weeks scan today. I received the news that my baby didn’t grow since the 6 week scan. It measured the same. No heartbeat found. 
The doctor gave me 3 options since I’m not bleeding. To wait it out til I miscarry on my own, to take a pill to speed up the process, or surgical dnc. I don’t know what I should do..
I am devastated... There must be something wrong with me for me to have 2 miscarriages... I’m so afraid that I won’t ever have children.
Anyone with an experience like mine, please share your story.. and what you recommend for me to do at this point?

First I’m so sorry you are going through this! I can say I’ve been in basically the same situation. I had a missed miscarriage around 11 weeks in September 2016. Baby stopped growing around 6-7 weeks, no heartbeat. I chose the pills since it had been almost 6 weeks and my body still hadn’t processed the loss. Fast forward a few months, I found out I was pregnant again in June 2017. And again same thing, I started spotting and went for an ultrasound and no heartbeat and a tiny fetal pole measuring way behind. I chose to wait it out because I had a horrible experience with the pills. Unfortunately almost 3 months later my Hcg levels still weren’t normalized and started rising. I had to have a D&C; in September 2017 which was a nightmare in itself because they thought maybe I had a molar pregnancy 🙁. But it turned out nothing so I saw a specialist and they did all kinds of blood work which all came back normal. She recommended genetic testing but most insurances don’t cover until you’ve had 3 miscarriages. So she said we could try again and try taking higher dose of folic acid and a baby aspirin a day (81mg) So after my cycle returned in October, we said that the heck. I am currently 26 weeks with my rainbow 💙 Sorry this is so long! Don’t give up hope!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈 Talk with your doctor! And again I’m so sorry about your losses!

I've had four miscarriages.  Then they found out I have low progesterone levels.  As soon as I found out I was pregnant I called and my doctors do a blood test and call in a progesterone pill to take for the first 12 weeks.  Since then,  my pregnancies have been successful. On baby number four currently.

Once I found out I would miscarry at 8 weeks (baby stopped developing at 6 weeks), I choose to do it naturally. It took until 10 weeks for it happen. I will say it was hands down the most painful (physically and emotionally) experience I’ve ever had. The contractions lasted 7 hours, and I passed many cloths and the placenta. I did however not take any pain medication because I wanted to gage it from start to finish so I knew when it would be over. I just felt like I needed to do it naturally, my doctor wouldn’t prescribe the pills because there’s a chance tissue could be left behind which can cause infection and may lead to a dnc. I didn’t feel right about the dnc, however many women I know have had one and recommend it. If, god forbid, it happens to me again I will most likely do it natural again however will be prepared with good pain medication. I’m sorry you are having to even make this decision ❤️

I had two miscarriages within 6 weeks of each other about a year after I had a baby. My doctor recommended we wait 3 months to try again. Then when I got pregnant, she had me go in immediately to monitor my hcg and progesterone levels. Everything was fine. Don’t give up hope!

I had two missed miscarriages before my son. don't think there's something wrong with you. my doctor told me it's very rare to get two mmcs in a row but it does happen. Sorry for your loss and I hope this helps in some way ❤

I had 2 miscarriages in a row. the first 1 was missed went in at 11 weeks baby was 8 weeks. I decided for the pill and I would choose it again if needed. the second time everything happened on it's own so I didn't have to choose.

I found the DNC to be the best option for myself. We found out our baby passed around 8 weeks at our 12 week appt. It was quick and gave me peace of mind that I didnt have to wait to for my body to catch up. 3 months later we had a natural miscarriage around 6 weeks. We waited another 3 months before trying again and I am currently 23 weeks along with a healthy baby. It hurts and sucks but know that this doesnt mean the end of your journey in trying to have a healthy baby. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that you find yourself with an Rainbow baby who is loved by guardian angel siblings very soon.

I’m sorry for your loss, I’m actually going through the same, my second miscarriage ☹️ and i bled for 2 days but no clots or anything so dr is gonna do an ultrasound to see ☹️ but if I get the 3 choices, I’ll choose a dnc😭 I don’t want this to happen at home because I have my son with me all day, and I don’t want to be alone when it happens 💔
