20 month old with no words.

My son babbles and understands some things I say but he doesn't actually say any word yet. I am a bit worried and my doctor said that because he has anger issues as well or is a little hyper, may mean possible signs of autism. He is social and looks at people in the eyes. he loves showing off cool things he can do and he loves reading books or playing with a ball. He doesn't okay with blocks or actual toys. More interested in household items. Should I be worried?
