Need advice somebody help me

So I have this friend I grew up with. I was holding him down while he was away but he ended up being disrespectful to me. So I stop talking to him and my mom didn’t care for him treating me like that. So his home and I went to see him because I needed closure and he did say sorry he even was crying a little. But now my mom calls herself mad at me for even talking to him. She don’t care for him anymore and he still wants to be with me what should I do? Like it’s hard now because my mom can’t stand him and she gets real mad about me talking to him.
