PCOS sucks, Should I test?

Anyone ever feel scared to test because you hate seeing the negative test? You just wait it out and it seems like forever. Ugh not even sure if I ovulated because my bbt thermometer was eaten by my dog... I feel like giving up after three years. Pictures for reference

I recently went 38 days with no period and I was like I don’t know why I’m gaining weight and I was so tempted but i didn’t want to see the test like I wanted so bad for it to say positive that I peed on it backwards and raped it in paper so I couldn’t see it till my husband got up and we saw a negative it’s heart breaking but it will be positive one day hopefully
