Should I be mad

ok ladies so my guy (45) purposed 5 months ago. since then I (38) have moved in with him. we each have a son from prior relationships, and we live in a house and function as a family. so I say something about getting married in July, eloping at Niagra falls. He says it sounds like a good idea, maybe in a year or so... I am hurt, why ask me if he's not ready, why live like we do, building a life together then postpone the nuptials. I am not worried at all about anyone else, I am just sad bc now I feel like maybe we are not on the same page. I can't wait to marry him and he isn't ready.
