My boyfriend is a recovering addict, and has recently relapsed (3 months ago), after being clean for 5 years. Before you judge, I wasn’t aware of it, and he came home crying, and that same day he went off to a week rehab. I was 6 months pregnant, and wasn’t having it. He is aware that he will NEVER be around our daughter with drugs. Last night he posted a status, and it just makes my heart swell. I’ve seen this man grow up, mentally and emotionally. I’m VERY proud of who he has become. Loving an addict is SO hard, considering my personal feelings about drugs and addiction, but I will always love and support him.
