Infected? Rejecting

Question

I got my belly button pierced on April 13th and now I feel like it’s either getting infected, which I’ve been told by many is normal, or it’s being rejected. Need some opinions.

UPDATE
I went to my local piercing place and they told me that it wasn’t infected or rejecting but it doesn’t have enough room to swell and move the way it wants to so it is therefore starting to embed into my skin and suggested I either bought a custom made bar or a pregnancy bar so I bought a pregnancy one and swapped them when I got home. Hopefully it will heal properly now that it can move around on its own. Thank you all for the advice xx

Well you need to stop touching it and messing with it. It’s still new. You need to let it heal. It looks fine for now. Just irritated.

That’s what mine looked like when it was infected. I got mine to clear up in three days by boiling some water on the stove and putting in a teaspoon of sea salt (make sure its sea salt). Wait for it to cool a little but it’s still hot, dip a cotton ball in it, and hold that cotton ball to your piercing for fifteen minutes. Take your shower after this and make sure to let clean water (no soap) run on it. When you get out of the shower, don’t touch your piercing with the towel. It can irritate it. Once you’re all dry, use a q-tip to put some neosporin on it, but make sure it’s the cream kind and not the ointment. The ointment won’t allow it to breathe. 
These were all tips my piercer gave me and it was all better by the end of the third day. Hope this helps!

Mine did the same thing, my body rejects piercings and the salt water just never cleaned it well enough. Try cleaning it with dial (non-scented) anti bacterial soap. I now use it for all of my piercings.

mine did the same thing. After you get it pierced you usually swell up somewhat. Well, the piercing they stuck in was basically too small and had to be replaced with a longer one until it healed and the swelling went down. I just put my other one back in and its perfectly fine now (after 3 months or so i kind of forgot about the other original jewelry I had in lol)! might want to try that out first before you remove it ☺

please don't return to that shop. it looks okay just stop moving it and touching it. changing it was risky just leave it alone, keep it clean and find a piercer who knows what they're doing and how to size jewelry haha.

leave it alone unless it starts to hurt really bad and it looks suuuuper red. if it's not really red and like burning then dont fw it. it's an open wound so it is trying to heal but it kinda hard with something in there. sea salt and water, put it in a cap and put the cap with sea salt and warm water over your piercing and make like a seal if you know what I mean. i used to do this with mine and it healed completely innnnn aboooout 14-16 weeks.

I used to fill a cup up with luke warm water, some sea salt, let it sit for about 2 minutes twice a day and it helped heal it

thats exactly what mine looked like when it was rejected. have your piercer look at it. If it is rejecting you want it out as soon as possible so there isnt as much scar tissue and damage. I kept mine in for 6 months before i woke up one morning and could see the bar through my skin cause my body had pushed it out to the surface and now I have a bad scar

Mine was like that for a while it’s just irritated from being touched especially since it’s new. If its like that after a few months it’s either infected or your body is rejecting it. My body rejected it and now I have a scar

I had the same problem with mine when I first got it done. I went to the place where I got it pierced and they supplied me with this spray 👇🏼👇🏼 keeps the piercing clean sterilised. Also got told not to touch and not to wear pants that rub on it 👍🏼
