Update on 2nd ultrasound for babygirl
when I went for an ultrasound 2 weeks ago. I went to a different hospital mine was booked and I wanted to see my baby. when I went I found out its a girl.and everything was developing lovely. this hospital has a dr there so they speak to you after you its also were they do prenatal appt too. (my hospital doesn't they let your dr speak to you) this dr told us she has .8 mm water in her brain so she may have down syndrome and they'll need to do testing, stick needle in my stomach take water out and also out her head. and if anything is wrong I should possibly get rid of her.I was highly upset. my husband as well. we told the guy well speak to my original dr because I feel more comfortable with him not a new dr that doesn't know anything about me or my history. I assumed he'd send my sonogram to my dr. I went to my dr the next week, spoke to him about what the other dr told me, I let him know I was worried & scared because this is my first daughter I have 3 boys and everyone was healthy at birth. he reassured me that I'm fine and there is no medical history with this issue, my test was negative that I took early in my pregnancy, and that she is still developing. He told me that hospital did not send him my sonogram at all, he didn't understand why because they always send them. I was happy because I knew she was okay. my insurance company has a dr as well they looked over what the Dr said because he went along and requested a testing. they send me a letter(not bad) it said the Dr said she had 9.9mm of water in her brain I seen the pics the amount said .8 mm not 9.9 . it also said prior pregnancy have been healthy and there is no history of down syndrome etc. and that the baby is healthy. and to keep going to sonogram as requested. I'm just so grateful I have 2 other opinions on this. I told the guy this but he kept cutting me off like I didn't know anything. but I'm fine knowing my daughter is healthy and good. can't wait to meet her august 28
