swollen labia

so i woke up after having sex with my boyrfriend the night before and i felt pain below to feel my labia was swollen and when i looked in the mirror it was hanging so much, after a few hours the swelling went down and was able to have sex. do you think maybe because i had been drinking the night before it had effected my sex drive causing me to be too dry or should i book a doctors appointment to be on the safe side?
