Am I tripping lol

Had my tattoo for about 2 weeks now it’s out of that peeling stage sorta but I’ve been noticing it looks extremely light! When I got it it was dark black which I know it wouldnthave stayed like that but this is my third tattoo and none of them have faded so quickly like this, or does it just look like this during the healing process? I got a coverup and I feel like you can see the coverup so perfectly :( but idk if it’s cause I know exactly where it’s at so thats literally all I see when I look at my tattoo. At first I LOVED IT because I couldn’t really tell where the other tattoo was but now I can :( my husband says it’s all in my head because I know where it’s at
