Thrush?

Question

Any momma's have a baby who has had thrush? Currently heading to the doctors because I think my little girl might have it.. 😭 she doesn't act any differently, just didn't know if anyone had any advice!

My son had it from the time he was a month old till about 3 months. I didn't notice it at first because he didn't seem bothered by it but I breastfed him so I started getting symptoms and finally too him in and sure enough it was thrush. They prescribed nystatin for him to take orally, which he hated. We went through 3 bottles of it in 2 months and it still hasn't really gone away, partially because it wasn't treating me and my symptoms. If your baby is bottle fed and uses pacifiers, you will need to sterilize them (boil them in hot water) for at least 10 min after every use. If you breastfeed, you'll need to rinse or wipe your nipples after every feeding with 1 part hot water and 1 part vinegar. That was the only thing that finally helped get rid of it for good

My little one had it! It made it harder for her to eat or suck a peci, so she was a little extra fussy. Her pediatrician gave her medication that was super hard to get her to take, and it didnt clear up right away it took a good week to finally start looking better!
