Eating in car?

Question

How often do you let your kids eat in the cart? On a regular day to day basis, not including a long road trip vacation type scenario.

My husband is a UPS driver and I have been bringing my son to see his daddy for lunch everyday for the past 2 years since he was about 6 months old. 
It’s extremely important to me that they have a close bond, I don’t want a mommas boy I want him to be daddy’s boy and my husband has sacrificed so much working such long hours so that I can be at home with our son. 
So yeah, my car gets pretty trashed with food because they share lunch together but I don’t mind.
My car is full of toys and dirt because I get to play at the park everyday with my son as well.
My car gets washed regularly.

Never, I am terrified they might choke and I’ll be on the highway and not be able to pull over and help them. Last summer on my way to work I saw a fatal accident. A woman pulled over on the side of a busy highway and got out to do something with her child in the back seat and was struck and killed.

We have a brand new SUV so we eat before or after we get in/out of the car.

Rarely. I think the only time is when we’re on road trips...maybe I’ll pass a fry or something but that’s it.

We don’t allow the kids to eat in the car anymore cuz mostly it was junky snack food that’s being eaten in there and I have cut most of that out because it results in them eating better and healthier at meal time. I’m also afraid of the choke hazard.

We gave seat covers and clean the car and car seat frequently. We give her snacks in the car after day care or in long trips. She never makes much of a mess and since we have seat covers and clean frequently I'm not too worried.
