Can I use a prepaid card when traveling?

This might sound stupid but I’ve never used one before and I’ll be traveling within the states soon. Do i have to report it to the customer service to let them know I’ll be traveling? I don’t want my card to be declined or anything bc I didn’t notify them or are visa gift cards differently? Like you don’t have to notify anyone you’re traveling and can start using it?
