Unbearable cramps with IUD

I’m just wondering if this something I should be concerned with or if it is normal!

I got my Mirena placed about 3 weeks ago and I am a few days away from when I am supposed to get my period.

I usually get cramps a few days before my period and they aren’t bad. Today all through the day I’ve been having cramps that are so unbearable it is hard to walk or even breathe. They aren’t constant but come very quickly and hit hard about every 10 minutes.

Please let me know if this should be a concern because I’m considering going to hospital they are so bad.
