Too simple?

Hey girls! So im debating whether i should do a small baby shower with just my SOs family & mines. I just think about how much money we are going to spend in just one afternoon. So i was thinking of giving sandwiches, chips, soda, cake, flan & maybe beer but not go crazy with the beer you know what i mean? Just like simple & small but idk if what im thinking of giving out is making look too cheap 😭. Please help? Any advice? I dont want my SO to spend a lot of money since he’s the only one whos working. But his sister said we should just do a small celebration since its our first girl out of 2 boys. Btw im having this baby on May 11 and im trying to do the baby shower this sunday lol
