Hair dye

I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I had blonde highlights that were growing out and I decided to get it done brown and I hate it. But don’t wanna go spend money to get it back to natural as it costed $100 to dye it so would be another $100. So was wondering if any knows ways to lighten it that don’t make it look bad or if anyone thinks it lightens up some naturally pretty fast.
