Is calling your partner out on something the same a trying to change them?

He said i call him out on too many things, all I do is complain and I’m just trying to change him. Is calling someone out the same as trying to change them?

It depends. If someone said all I did was complain, I would have to seriously look at myself and see if it were true. Sometimes people say that when they aren’t happy with the person they’re with.
There’s a difference between having an adult conversation about faults we all have and nagging them about the things we don’t like. Being too negative and your partner wanting to change that for the better isn’t a bad thing.

But if he is doing something that makes you unhappy you should for sure mention it. Do your best not to sound demanding or rude. :)

Depends on what your expectations are and what you say when you call them out I suppose. My guess is that he’s prob just mad you ain’t letting him be a lazy sack though 🤷‍♀️

It depends on the situation. I call my husband out on his crap when he’s being a jerk or when he’s taking his bad attitude out on me I something, but I don’t nag him about things that make him who he is. If he accidentally left a dish out in the living room for example, I may just politely ask if he could take it into the kitchen for me rather than tell him he’s always leaving his dishes out.
