Coconut oil as lube?

I want to try it because I get really dry/sore after sex, but a lot of other posts on here were saying that it’s a good substitute for preseed. I’m NOT trying to get pregnant and many of you were saying it helped you get pregnant so should I not use it? Or would it still be safe? I’m on the pill but I don’t want to be using anything to enhance my chances 😅

You're on birth control.. as long as you're taking that correctly it shouldn't matter. Don't use coconut oil if you use condoms, oil based can break down the latex. Coconut oil is a hit or miss. Some people it works perfectly fine and great while others may have their pH levels thrown off. Sex experts (yup they study sex) say to try it if you'd like and see how it works for you. Like I said, it's a hit or miss!

I'm on the pill and my partner and I don't use condoms because I hate them a lot and coconut oil is our go to. I went to the doctor a couple weeks ago for some vagina problems and the doctor I saw recommended coconut oil. I'd say try it if it's not with a condom and see how you like it. personally I love it.
