Rope hammock vs quilted hammock?

For Mother’s Day last year, me & my sister got my mom a normal beige quilted hammock. But with my brothers roughhousing friends, it accidentally ripped in half and we had only had it for 2 1/2 months. Now my mom has voiced to us that she would like another one for Mother’s Day this year and I’m considering getting a rope one instead just because of the durability. To be honest, just looking at a rope hammock looks more durable to me. Is this true or should we stick with quilted?
