TDAP Vaccine

So I am approaching the 6 month mark of pregnancy. In a very loving yet firm way I have informed my sisters and parents and my husband siblings and parents that they will need to receive the TDAP vaccine if they have not had one before my baby girl arrives. One shot folks. Not asking for a whole lot here. My oldest sister is not a fan of needles (but neither am I) and she is refusing to get the shot. I told her that if she plans on holding the baby and spending time with her, she will need to get it. She responded “you can’t just tell people they have to get a shot.” I responded with “no but I can tell people they won’t be holding my baby if they don’t have the shot.” She’s a kindergarten teacher, she’s literally around snot and germs all day long.

Has anyone else had this issue with CLOSE family before? I’m not trying to be a hard ass here and I’m honestly a super laid back person. But for this child I have PRAYED and no one is going to get her severely sick in her first few months of life if it can be prevented. How did all you ladies who have been in my shoes handle this?

If you think I’m being too strict, YouTube newborn with whooping cough. It’ll change your mind.
