No flange feels comfortable 🤦🏼‍♀️

Does anyone else have this issue?

I was using a 28mm flange but my nipple rubs on the inside once I start pumping. By the end I have a red ring around my areola which I’ve read can be due to the flange being small. But also, I’ve noticed my areola gets pulled in slightly.

So I sized up to a 32mm (when I measured I think I was somewhere between 28-30mm) and while it feels a bit more comfortable, I’m still getting a red ring and my areola is definitely getting pulled in.

My nipples aren’t large, but I don’t think they’re small enough for a 24mm so I’m confused as to why pumping is so uncomfortable 😩
