2 years and a baby with no proposal.

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years on may 16. We have a beautiful one year old daughter together and we have been leaving together for a year and a half now. We have talked about getting married and he says he will propose when he can buy me a nice ring. I told him I don’t want an expensive ring, I just want to be married to him. I love him so much but I don’t know how much longer I have to wait for him to pop the question. What should I do?
