How did you know he was the one?

Question

I want to hear your stories on how you met your parters. Just curious, I’m such a hopeless romantic lol. I also want to know if the guy I’m talking to relates to any of your stories. Any comments would be greatly appreciated ☺️

As cheesy as it is I knew he was the one from our first date honestly. The energy was different. He rushed to open the door for me and he was such a gentleman. I remember wondering why he wasn’t reaching to hold my hand or anything. I finally got the courage to ask him and his response was “I don’t want to over step any boundaries. Is it ok with you??”
I was used to being used and having men that didn’t really put my feelings into consideration. So for him to care that much since day one, I knew he was the one.

We actually met on tinder lol. He lived an hour away and I lived in Canada and he was living in upstate NY. When we met after a few days of talking he came out of his apartment with a huge smile on his face and gave me a big hug and a kiss lol. I thought it was super forward but also very sweet. He brought his dog out to meet me and then we went out on our date. He made me laugh and was weird like me. He told me he loved me a week later haha But I couldn't help falling for him as well 😁 He asked me to marry him 5 months after we first met. I immigrated to the US about a year after that and we got married Dec 1st 2017. I found out I was pregnant 7 days afterwards haha!! He is the most wonderful man. He would do anything for me. I feel very blessed every single day. We just celebrated 2 years since we met and will be welcoming my first baby, his second - August this year 😁

My husband and I have known each other since middle school. It’s corny but I feel like I knew then that he was just different and so special. He moved away for five years and when he came back, we started dating and the rest is history. Everything just feels so natural with him. I don’t have to get all made up for him to think I’m perfect the way I am. I’ll catch him looking at me and just be like “what are you looking at?! Stop it!” And he will just smile and say “nothing.” It’s that little shit that makes me fall for him over and over and over. And the way he is with our first child and how I know he will be with our second who is due next month. It’s just that feeling of knowing that you will be so entirely content with spending every second for the rest of your life with that person. There’s nothing better than knowing that you get the be with your best friend, forever. It’s been 8 years that we’ve been together. My love for him has never faltered. It has only gotten so much stronger.

Honestly, when you know you know. But there was one major thing that happend that let me know for sure he was the one. I have anxiety and even worse TRAVEL anxiety. I wasn't even able to go somewhere that was 30 minutes away from where I lived. I just physically couldn't or I would freak out I don't know what it is. I've always been like this. I am extremely comfortable with him and I trust him with all my heart. He took me to different cities in my state and even to the beach and the zoo! Which they are 2 hours away! I'm still trying hard to make my way to another state. Hopefully I get there soon! He just makes me feel good about myself and is so comforting and he makes me a better person overall! We have been together 4 years now and have a baby on the way!

So we’ve been dating for about 8 months and I knew he was the one the minute I met him. I’ve always been uncomfortable being in relationships with guys for some reason and thought it was a problem with me. But when I met him I knew I found the right guy. We don’t fight or get mad at eachother. He respects my decisions and is patient. We love literally all the same things and being with him just feels right. All I can say is you’ll know. It might not be the moment you meet them but you’ll just know 😊 One thing for me that reassured me a lot is his patience because we are in a long distance relationship. Crazy thing is, and it makes me so happy, he likes to talk about being together forever and it just makes me so happy 💕

I met my partner when we were sophomores in high school. We had our Driver's Ed/P.E. class together, and I only started talking to him as friends because he was friends with one of my friends. Over time we gradually started talking more to each other and relating to each other, realizing our similarities and differences. I never new this back then but apparently whenever he'd come to talk to me, I thought it was just as friends, but he says it was because he wanted to get to know me more and get some "alone" time with me (however alone you can get in a class of 20+ students 😅). I'd gradually started liking him more and more, for a while. I'd have never thought he actually started having a crush on me. Later on in the year, the class spent the a few days at a nearby bowling alley until the period ended. He bought me fries there which doesn't sound like much but I enjoyed the fact that he did lol. On one of the last days we'd be there, right before we were getting on our buses for home, I stopped him and told him I liked  him. His face seemed surprised and he seemed to brighten up a bit, but all he said was "Ok" with a slight smile. I went to my bus, not thinking he liked me back but then he texts me and says he likes me back! I was overjoyed. A few days later, he asked me out officially, and of course, I said yes. I find it amusing how many times he had tried to get to know me more or spend some time with me and I never even realized it! I sure am glad he did, though.

My soon to be husband was my boss. I knew from the very first day I started that I loved him. I just didn't know why? He was so charming, funny, brilliant and handsome. I couldn't wait to go to work every single day. I just wanted to see him. I knew he liked me too. We would stay after work to clean, or get caught up on paper work. Really it was just so we could talk. Him and I have been best friends since day one. Now we are waiting till the day we say I do and blend our lovely families. He is my most favorite thing ever!

My husband and I met through a mutual friend we had both known for years, so she knew us both really well. We started talking on Facebook and it took us about a month to actually meet in person. I liked him before I even met him. On our first date, he took me to get coffee, then we walked to a park to talk (and also look at all the dogs). I was pretty sure he was the one then. I know that’s crazy, but we had a really strong connection unlike any I’ve ever felt.
A few weeks later, we called me and was like screaming into the phone about having to cancel our date that night because there was an accident at work and his ear drum was ruptured and he couldn’t hear anything  and he was going to the emergency room. I offered to meet him there and keep him company, even though I’m terrified of hospitals and it was an hour and a half drive from my work. I walked in just as they were taking him to a room and he turned around with the biggest smile and have me a huge hug and a kiss, and that’s when I knew for sure.
