Sick baby.
I’m at a loss. I have a 9 month old who is acting strange. Before anyone freaks on me I have taken her to the doctor but nothing is getting better. She had her first tooth start to come through Sunday. Since then she’s had a low fever. I understand that happens with teething so I didn’t think much of it. Well fast forward to Thursday and her fever goes from a steady 99.1-100.5 without Tylenol and going away completely with Tylenol to a 103.6. I immediately called her doctor and told them what was happening and they wanted to see her. I brought her in and with Tylenol her fever was down to 101.5. But nothing noticeably wrong. They checked her ears and throat and ironed and nothing. She wasn’t weak or acting strange so they said just keep an eye on her and that was that. She’s also having trouble sleeping. I haven’t gotten her to sleep soundly for longer than an hour. It’s now Saturday and it still hasn’t gone away but now tonight she won’t eat and when she tries to nurse she screams and pushes my breast out and acts almost as if she’s choking and I sit her up and she stops. I tried feeding with a bottle too and same thing. It’s almost like she can’t swallow? She’s has barely eaten today and I’m nervous. I don’t know what to do. My mom thinks it could be thrush but wouldn’t they have seen that at the doctor? She finally calmed down and nursed for less than 5 minutes and is asleep. At least for now.
