My man doesn’t want kids...

Hey guys. What do you do when the man you consider the love of your life, doesn’t want kids? Needless to say i DO want kids. I love him. But I feel like staying with him it’s like losing time. Time I could be using being single, waiting for the guy I’m gonna have kids with. Gosh. I don’t know what to do. I don’t wanna leave my man. But I want kids. I want to get married in a gorgeous wedding gown. I want a perfect little family of my own. We are 23. Is it stupid to have this hope of him changing his mind with time?

When we started dating we talked about kids. We even talked about names. We talked about a big wedding. But ever since his parents divorced, he started with the “I’m not sure I want to get married and I don’t want kids”. He’s like “I imagine being with you for the rest of my life”, “I imagine living with you... but I don’t see myself married now”. So yeah. I acted cool but on the inside I could just feel my heart breaking a little. I don’t really wanna touch the subject cause maybe it’s too soon. His dad really hurt his mom, so he’s been quite sad. Sorry for the long post, thanks if you read all the way. Also, I’d appreciate some advice. Have you ever been in a similar situation?
