Can doctor check this early???

Can your doctor check if your dilated if you ask them to check  you I’m 33 weeks my 
For 2 weeks now I’ve been in a lot of pain down there I can’t even walk it’s getting so much worse everyday I want to cry and been having some contractions on and off. They aren’t close maybe like 15-30 mins apart at a time. Sometimes 10 mins apart.

I asked my doctor to check me at 36 because I found out due to a hospital visit that I was already 3cm 80% effaced at 35w and I was having a lot of contractions. She told me they don’t like to do that because it can stimulate the cervix and cause more to happen.

Maybe. But most won’t check you until you’re 36 weeks. But even if you are dilated it doesn’t mean much. I started dilating at 33 weeks and still didn’t give birth until 39 weeks.

I think them checking you for dilation will make the pain worse but if you’re concerned I’m sure they’ll do it to ease your mind.

Sounds like it’s worth a talk with your doctor about your symptoms. Might have nothing to do with your cervix.
