Egg Retrieval

Had my egg retrieval today. It was actually pretty painful. When the doctor was finished she said everything was great, minus a little bleeding and she lost count of how many eggs, maybe 15-20. After an hour in the recovery room I go to have an ultrasound to make sure the bleeding is okay. The doctor informs me that we only got five eggs, the ones she thought were eggs were multiple cysts (which also explains why it was so painful). I'm a little disappointed, but she said the ones they did get look really good. I'm taking it easy today, and looking forward to my blastocyst transfer on Friday. Wish me luck! 🤞🤞

UPDATE: After pain from my retrieval didn't subside, and actually got worse, I called my doctor and they had me come in for an ultrasound only to discover my ovaries had become hyperstimulated. (no wonder why there was so much pain)! Unfortunately, I have to wait until next month to do my transfer.
