We did the screening to text for abnormalities and spinal bifida. I got back an extremely high result. A normal result is between 0.5 - 2. Mine was a 6.5, my doctor said she had never seen a result so high. I went to a high risk doctor and got a level 2 ultrasound and they could not figure out the cause. She ruled out spinal bifida and any heart problems. I’ve been monitored since then and have had no problems and all very normal ultrasounds.

They said it could also mean preterm birth or a complication with the liver that doesn’t show through ultrasound. Now that I’m only three weeks away from my scheduled csection I’m freaking out about it again.

Has anyone had similar results and all was fine?
